DevOps Engineer (Remote, Europe)

Job summary

The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure while collaborating with development teams to enhance deployment processes and ensure system reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role or similar.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly with Terraform on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including ECS, RDS, and VPC.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
• Understanding of backend services, with Java/Spring Boot experience being advantageous.
• Strong grasp of networking, security, and system architecture principles.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for infrastructure management.
• Monitor system performance and health to ensure high availability.
• Apply security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
• Participate in a rolling on-call rotation for 24/7 support.
• Assist engineering teams with infrastructure and deployment queries.
