About the role

Job summary

A skilled Hardware Engineer is sought to contribute to the development of next-generation airborne instrumentation for geophysical applications. The role involves designing and developing advanced hardware systems that aid in subsurface mapping with high precision.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–10 years of experience in hardware development.
  • Strong theoretical understanding of physics and electronic system behavior.

Responsibilities

  • Develop PCB designs and layouts.
  • Design and implement power electronics.
  • Optimize ADC conversion systems.
  • Engage in signal processing and analog/digital circuitry development.
  • Conduct timing and real-time driver development for embedded systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and conduct diagnostics and prototype testing.
  • Design and execute experimental tests to validate hypotheses.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical and software engineering teams.
  • Understand data acquisition (DAQ) and post-processing workflows.
  • Facilitate technical discussions to ensure hardware design aligns with processing needs.

Skills

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
  • Experience in RF engineering or radio-related design is a plus.

Education

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline.

Tools

  • PCB design software, power electronics tools, signal processing tools.
