Mechanical Engineer (Medical Devices, Remote)

Job summary

This position involves micro-mechanical development and product design using CAD, with a focus on collaboration and co-development across various teams and external partners. The role is part of a team dedicated to creating innovative hearing solutions through hands-on prototyping and testing.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in R&D environments, with a preference for candidates with several years of expertise.
• Familiarity with PTC Creo or similar 3D CAD tools.
• Knowledge of robust design methods and experience in regulated industries, particularly medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Drive micro-mechanical development from concept to realization.
• Create and design parts and systems in 3D CAD.
• Simulate models and evaluate technical solutions collaboratively.
• Build and test prototypes using in-house tools.
• Plan and execute design work, including reviews and documentation.
• Support knowledge sharing and competence building within the team.
• Manage outsourced development tasks and ensure alignment with external partners.

Skills

• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly PTC Creo.
• Understanding of design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM, DFA).
• Experience with injection molding and mechanical simulation.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with external partners.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
