Pattern Engineer (Footwear, Remote)

Job summary

The Pattern Engineer will be responsible for converting design concepts into precise 2D CAD patterns for footwear production, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and quality. This role involves collaboration with various teams to facilitate a smooth development process.

Qualifications

• Background in pattern engineering or technical construction education.
• Ideally holds a Certificate as Technical Constructor or similar qualification with an interest in footwear.
• 2–3 years of experience in 2D pattern engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and structured documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders in design, engineering, and production.

Responsibilities

• Construct detailed upper patterns and approve last copies according to established 2D construction standards.
• Prepare technical packages including substance drawings, frontpage, ground model approval, and concept style approval with Fit approval.
• Ensure accurate documentation and clear communication throughout the development process.
• Work independently while maintaining timely communication and escalation as necessary.
• Compile and upload comprehensive technical packages into the PLM system with high data accuracy.
