Production Leader (Pharmaceutical, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves leading and managing a team in drug substance manufacturing, ensuring high productivity and adherence to quality standards across rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Demonstrated manufacturing leadership with strategic and data-driven problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
• Capacity to handle multiple priorities while executing strategic plans.
• In-depth technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of 24–30 manufacturing associates across day and night shifts.
• Ensure smooth operations and quick resolution of issues in a 24/7 production environment.
• Implement effective systems for emergency management and minimize downtime.
• Process deviations timely, ensuring robust containment and countermeasures.
• Foster a strong safety culture and maintain high engagement among team members.
• Recruit and develop talent to meet production needs, prioritizing growth through training and regular one-on-ones.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to ensure alignment on complex issues.
