Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Remote)

Job summary

This role involves significant contributions to the development of embedded software across various stages, including design, implementation, and maintenance. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software solutions for integrated chip platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop platform drivers, hardware abstraction layers, and server/client architectures for integrated chips.
• Design and implement shared software libraries and maintain device drivers and embedded firmware.
• Conduct code reviews and refine software standards.
• Create unit and functional tests to validate software performance.
• Collaborate with teams including Silicon Designers and FPGA Engineers.
• Prepare training materials and technical documentation as necessary.
• Work within Agile development workflows, contributing to sprint planning and execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and C# with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Experience in Agile environments, preferably with Scrum and JIRA.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Skills

• Familiarity with electronics and signal processing is advantageous.
• Experience with XML and Microsoft Visual Studio is preferred.

Tools

• Agile development tools such as JIRA.
• Development environments for Windows PCs and embedded systems running Linux.
