Senior Graphics Engineer (VFX, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves implementing advanced graphics algorithms and developing authoring tools for content creation. The position requires ownership of system design, focusing on scalable and high-performance software architectures.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Graphics Engineer in game development or a similar field.
• Proven track record of managing complex systems and making architectural decisions.
• Strong collaborative skills with a focus on solution-oriented approaches.
• Proficient in writing clean, high-performance C# and/or C++ code, with a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• In-depth knowledge of rendering pipelines, GPU architecture, and performance optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with shader languages and models (SM5.x, .x, Slang).
• Experience with Real-Time Particle Effects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modernize, and document graph-based authoring tools: VFX Graph and Shader Graph.
• Design modular software systems to ensure maintainability and future-proofing of tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software with user needs.
• Work closely with technical artists, UX designers, and graphics engineers to create intuitive workflows.

Skills

• Strong programming skills in C# and/or C++.
• Expertise in graphics rendering and optimization.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Graphics, or a related field.

Tools

• Experience with graphics development tools and software relevant to game development.
