Senior Optical Engineer (Remote, Engineering)

Job summary

The role involves configuring single line laser systems and managing the system configurator application within the Products & Automation team. The engineer will act as the product authority, collaborating across various departments including development, marketing, production, and supply chain to ensure alignment and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in physics or optical engineering, with a PhD preferred.
• Experience in fiber and free space optics, ideally in an industrial context.
• Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Oversee system configurations and maintain authority on product specifications.
• Drive architectural development and align requirements with ERP implementation.
• Provide input for testing requirements and streamline test processes.
• Lead new development projects ensuring consistency with existing products and best practices.
• Share knowledge and mentor team members to enhance their technical skills.
