Senior Project Engineer (Energy, Remote)

Job summary

The role involves coordinating engineering deliverables and progress reporting for projects, particularly focusing on onshore hydrogen pipelines and stations. The Senior Project Engineer supports project management to ensure timely and quality delivery while managing interfaces among various teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in FEED, Detailed Design, and EPC projects.
• Familiarity with engineering disciplines and international equipment specifications.
• Knowledge of safety and quality procedures.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Chartered Status preferred.
• Relevant experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, particularly with gas infrastructure or pipeline projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate information transfer between Engineering and Project Management teams.
• Participate in planning and scheduling engineering scope and maintain project technical documentation.
• Monitor engineering progress, address shortfalls, and assist in developing recovery plans.
• Facilitate engineering team participation in project reviews and resolve arising issues.
• Attend project review meetings and ensure report distribution.
• Address interface issues and seek management support when necessary.
• Assist in producing project execution plans and coordination procedures.
• Monitor progress against plans and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Formulate resolutions to technical challenges with support from relevant personnel.
• Coordinate final documentation preparation for client acceptance.
• Participate in formal project reviews to identify learning opportunities.

Skills

• Strong understanding of pipeline or station design and construction methodologies.
• Ability to handle third-party design verification and comments efficiently.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Chartered Status preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with project management and engineering software tools.
