Senior Technical Designer (Engineering, Hybrid)

Job summary

The role involves developing and enhancing innovative solutions for flexible pipe end-fittings within the Engineering & Technology and New Product Development sectors. The position requires collaboration with global teams and serves as the primary contact for assigned projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Over 5 years of experience in a similar R&D role, focusing on advanced product development
• Proficient in 2D and 3D modeling
• Strong planning and leadership skills for test activities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental practices

Responsibilities

• Design innovative components and end fitting solutions for R&D projects
• Support engineers in generating new concepts and advancing technology
• Create calculation files using Python
• Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify technology risks and define qualification programs
• Develop and verify documentation for the End Fitting Mounting Department
• Engage in testing activities, including dissection of test end fittings and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with the End Fitting Supply team to provide R&D support during tenders and commercial projects

Skills

Soft Skills

• Experience in offshore oil & gas equipment engineering is preferred
• Proficient in CREO and Python
• Comfortable working in a matrix organization

Education

• B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
