Steelwork Supervisor (Construction, EMEA)

Job summary

The Steelwork Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the technical development and execution of steelwork projects within the EMEA region. This role involves providing technical support during the design and implementation phases and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of steelwork installations on-site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, including field engineering at a similar level.
• Experience in evaluating and analyzing steel structures to support material handling systems.
• Knowledge of connection details for linking steel structures to existing buildings.

Responsibilities

• Educate subcontractor teams on safety practices and encourage positive safety discussions.
• Monitor adherence to risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) by installers, providing effective supervision as needed.
• Lead and coordinate on-site steelwork activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Draft and contribute to the Site Installation Plan, reporting any delays or defects that may impact the installation schedule.
• Serve as the primary contact for safety and technical inquiries related to steelwork on-site.
• Drive initiatives to optimize production and assembly rates, while identifying and implementing waste reduction strategies.
