Structural Engineer (Offshore, Esbjerg/Copenhagen/Aarhus)

Job summary

This position is for a Structural Engineer with extensive experience in offshore structural engineering, focusing on reassessment and lifetime extension of aging platforms, as well as the design of offshore and onshore structures. The role is based in Esbjerg, Aarhus, or Copenhagen and involves collaboration within a specialized department.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Structural and Civil Engineering
• Significant experience in structural steel design, including static and dynamic engineering
• Proven background as a structural engineer in the offshore industry, particularly with jackets and riser systems
• Familiarity with offshore standards such as ISO, NORSOK, EuroCode, and DNV
• Experience leading and supervising minor structural project teams is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct reassessment and lifetime extension of aging offshore platforms
• Perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed design of offshore structures, including drafting input
• Design onshore process facilities with relevant drafting input
• Execute advanced global analyses of structural systems for various scenarios (ULS, FLS, ALS)
• Reassess and design structural details
• Engage with clients and manage deliverables
• Contribute to internal development activities to enhance design and reassessment methods

Skills

• Proficiency in industry software such as ROSAP, SACS, and/or SESAM (preferred: ROSAP)
• Strong user experience with Excel, MathCad, MATLAB, and Python
• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Danish is preferred
