Vessel Manager (Maritime, Copenhagen)

Job summary

This position involves managing the technical operations of assigned vessels within a maritime context. The role focuses on ensuring efficient operations, compliance with regulations, and maintaining high safety standards. The contract is for 6 months with potential for career development.

Qualifications

• Marine Engineer or Dual Officer with strong academic performance.
• Experience in the maritime industry, preferably with tankers.
• Naval Architect with relevant expertise.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, and vetting processes.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong customer focus and effective communication skills with technical and commercial teams.
• Proficient in English; EU work permit required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance, condition, maintenance, and repairs of assigned vessels.
• Conduct inspections and develop budgets for vessel operations.
• Oversee dockings and major overhauls, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Review safety and emergency equipment, ensuring documentation is up to date.
• Promote and embody the WeCARE safety culture program.
• Collaborate with the purchasing department for spare parts management.
• Ensure daily operations align with legal requirements and company standards.
• Develop into a role with overall management responsibilities for the vessels.
