Area Medical Business Partner (Veterinary, Field-based)

Job summary

The Area Medical Business Partner is responsible for enhancing clinical excellence, patient safety, and associate development across a designated group of veterinary clinics. This role acts as a hands-on clinical leader, collaborating with operational leaders and veterinary teams to implement medical priorities and ensure high-quality care delivery.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree or Registered/Certified Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
• Leadership or management training (formal or informal) is preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in clinical practice, including team leadership.
• Strong experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing clinical teams.
• Ability to translate clinical strategy into practical implementation at the site level.
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular visits to assigned clinics, focusing on performance and support needs.
• Coach and mentor Clinical Directors and veterinary teams to enhance clinical leadership.
• Promote the adoption of clinical best practices and patient safety standards.
• Monitor clinic-level clinical performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Act as an escalation point for serious clinical incidents and high-risk client complaints.
• Collaborate with Area Managers and field teams to execute medical initiatives.
• Represent the organization in board or governance roles as required.
