Business Controller (Finance, Copenhagen)

Job summary

This role involves monitoring and analyzing the financial and operational performance of a company within the retail sector, collaborating closely with both operations and finance teams. The position requires the preparation of various performance reports and the optimization of internal processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Practical experience in business controlling.
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
• Proficiency in both French and English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage operational and financial performance reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Conduct analyses and controls during quarterly closings to ensure accurate PnL reporting.
• Report on performance drivers and compare results against previous years, budgets, and forecasts.
• Manage budget and forecast processes in collaboration with colleagues.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and fulfill specific requests.
• Serve as a key user of BI reports.
• Prepare presentations for financial board meetings.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP is preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset and curiosity.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments.

Education

• Degree in Business and Administration or equivalent.
