About the role

Job summary

This role focuses on enhancing operational performance in Drug Substance Manufacturing through Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies. The CI Partner will coach teams, implement Lean practices, and lead initiatives to optimize processes within a cGMP environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering field, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience in CI/Lean with a proven track record in operational settings, preferably in cGMP.
  • Strong facilitation skills for workshops and training at various organizational levels.
  • Data-driven problem-solving abilities with effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coach teams in Visual Management and CI methodologies to enhance flow, quality, and reduce costs.
  • Lead Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and value stream mapping to create standard work processes.
  • Equip teams with CI tools for self-driven improvements.
  • Collaborate with operations to identify waste and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Align CI initiatives with site strategies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on CI impact metrics such as cycle time and cost savings.
  • Drive governance and stakeholder engagement for operational initiatives.

Skills

  • Proficiency in applying Shingo Guiding Principles to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Daily/Visual Management and standard work in regulated environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with capacity optimization techniques and value stream design.
  • Knowledge of analytics and visualization tools for performance tracking.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

Tools

  • CI tools and methodologies (Lean, PDCA/A3), analytics/visualization software.
