This role involves building and scaling data science capabilities to enhance decision-making across product and business domains, focusing on supply-demand dynamics, user behavior, and marketplace efficiency.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, Econometrics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in applying machine learning and statistical modeling to product or business challenges.
• Familiarity with personalisation, recommendation systems, marketplace optimisation, and forecasting techniques.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience with A/B testing and impact measurement.
• Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces and develop structured solutions.
• Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product and business leaders to identify opportunities for data science to drive significant improvements.
• Develop and implement machine learning models for personalisation, marketplace optimisation, and forecasting.
• Translate complex business problems into scalable models and data products.
• Design frameworks for experimentation and impact evaluation.
• Work closely with Product Analysts and ML Engineers in a project-based environment.
• Take ownership of projects from problem framing to model development and evaluation.
• Contribute to the establishment of data science best practices and standards.

Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Solid proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with machine learning and statistical modeling.
• Ability to communicate effectively with product and business teams.

Education

• Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field.
