Job summary

The role involves leading mechanistic and translational PK/PD modelling to support model-informed drug development (MIDD) in metabolic health, focusing on preclinical and early clinical programs. The position requires collaboration with various scientific teams to integrate quantitative modelling into project strategies.

Qualifications

• PhD in pharmacometrics, PK/PD modelling, or a related quantitative discipline with significant industry experience.
• Proven track record in translational and mechanistic PK/PD modelling that influences early clinical development decisions.
• Extensive hands-on experience with MATLAB/SimBiology, PBPK software, or similar mechanistic modelling tools.
• Familiarity with R and population PK/PD tools (e.g., NONMEM, Phoenix).
• Understanding of MIDD concepts, including biomarker integration and model-based dose selection.
• Experience in writing regulatory documents and communicating complex concepts to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on mechanistic and translational PK/PD modelling to enable MIDD from preclinical to early clinical development.
• Develop and apply mechanistic and semi-mechanistic models to support dose selection and study design.
• Translate preclinical PK/PD and biomarker data into quantitative predictions for clinical studies.
• Manage collaborations with external partners, ensuring scientific quality and timely delivery of modelling outputs.
• Contribute to internal governance and MIDD-relevant documentation to support regulatory strategies.
