Engineering Manager - Observability (Hybrid, Cybersecurity)

Job summary

This role involves leading a team focused on enhancing observability metrics and tracing within a large-scale distributed system environment. The position requires a highly technical leader with experience in managing distributed teams and open-source projects.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Proficiency in observability and tracing tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Sentry).
• Familiarity with metrics solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Thanos).
• Experience in building Kubernetes operators using Python, Bash, or Go.
• Background in large-scale Linux environments and cloud operations (AWS, GCP preferred).
• Knowledge of TDD, CI/CD, and Chaos Engineering practices.
