Food Safety Auditor (Contractor, Denmark)

Job summary

This role involves working as a self-employed contractor to conduct food safety audits and supply audits in Denmark. The position requires delivering non-accredited audits for the retail sector, adapting to client needs as they arise.

Qualifications

• Relevant educational background in sciences, Food Technology, Environmental Health, or Health & Safety.
• Lead Auditor Qualification, preferably ISO 22000 or ISO 45001.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in retail or supply auditing.

Responsibilities

• Provide monthly availability for proposed work.
• Plan and manage audit work within agreed timescales.
• Conduct retail food safety audits in compliance with legal and client requirements.
• Complete and submit audit reports on the same day as the audit.
• Correct and update any errors in reports within 12 hours upon request.
• Keep the Line Manager or Lead Auditor informed of client requests during audits.
• Facilitate Shadow and Witness Audits as required.
• Engage in Continuous Personal Development (CPD) and additional training as needed.

Skills

• High level of IT proficiency, with the ability to use necessary equipment and software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education

• Relevant qualifications in food safety, environmental health, or related fields.

Tools

• Personal laptop or tablet for conducting audits.
