Job summary

This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities by designing and evaluating computational mathematics problems that reflect real research workflows. Contributors will engage in tasks that require Python programming and mathematical reasoning.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics (Pure or Applied) or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, and relevant libraries is acceptable.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied mathematics, research, or teaching.
• Experience with numerical methods and symbolic computation.
• Ability to create complex mathematical problems based on real-world applications.
• Strong written English skills (C1+).

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active project phases.

Compensation

Contributors can earn up to $45 per hour, with variations based on project scope and complexity.

• Design original computational mathematics problems that simulate real research workflows.
• Create Python-based problems requiring computational solutions.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and not solvable manually in a reasonable timeframe.
• Develop problems that involve non-trivial reasoning in areas such as number theory and graph theory.
• Verify solutions using Python and document problem statements clearly.
