This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities by designing computational financial problems that reflect real-world research workflows. Contributors will utilize Python programming to create and verify solutions for complex mathematical challenges.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other programming languages is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles.
  • Strong written English skills (C1+ level).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international projects are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require around 10–20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements.

Compensation

Contributors can earn up to $45 per hour, depending on their level of expertise and contribution pace.

  • Design original computational financial problems that simulate real financial research workflows.
  • Create problems that require Python programming to solve, ensuring they are computationally intensive.
  • Develop problems that involve complex reasoning in areas such as number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, and numerical analysis.
  • Base problems on real research challenges or practical applications from mathematical practice.
  • Verify solutions using Python with standard mathematical libraries.
  • Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
