Full Stack Engineer (Telecommunications, Remote)

Job summary

An experienced Full Stack Software Engineer is sought to join a cross-functional team focused on developing and optimizing a global cellular network for IoT applications. The role involves working with a diverse set of technologies to ensure reliable and scalable connectivity for millions of devices worldwide.

Qualifications

• Proficient in building and maintaining backend services using Node.js.
• Experience in designing and implementing distributed and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with React (and possibly Next.js) for front-end development.
• Strong skills in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for PostgreSQL.
• Ability to navigate and script in the command line for automation and debugging.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Knowledge of message queue management, particularly RabbitMQ.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions.
• Experience in setting up monitoring and logging systems using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Strong collaboration skills with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize the web application and backend services, including data ingestion pipelines.
• Solve challenges related to scaling, high availability, and observability of systems.
• Create and debug front-end components that integrate with backend APIs.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in high-throughput systems.
• Design and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available systems.
• Collaborate closely with team members to turn ideas into reliable software.

Skills

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols is a plus.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
