Head of Contract Management (Renewable Energy, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves leading the contract management function within the engineering sector, specifically focusing on offshore wind projects. The Head of Contract Management will oversee a senior team responsible for negotiating and executing major CAPEX contracts, ensuring proactive management and commercial optimization of contracts.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in business, engineering, or a related field, preferably with a master’s degree or PhD.
• Over ten years of experience in managing complex joint ventures and partnerships within large organizations.
• Extensive expertise in commercial contract management, particularly in renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team covering contract management, claims management, and joint-venture service delivery.
• Develop and implement a new joint venture delivery model for project development and execution.
• Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and execution of major CAPEX contracts.
• Ensure Claims Managers are integrated into projects for early risk mitigation.
• Shape processes and systems for delivering services to joint ventures, ensuring compliance and high-quality reporting.
• Collaborate with project management teams and stakeholders to present complex decisions clearly.

Education
