Job summary

The Head of Data Engineering is responsible for establishing and evolving the enterprise data platform architecture, ensuring a scalable and reliable data ecosystem that supports analytics and AI initiatives across various business functions.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in data engineering and architecture, with a strong background in building enterprise-grade data platforms in cloud environments.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing distributed engineering teams.
• Deep knowledge of modern data stacks, including Databricks and Azure, and expertise in pipeline orchestration and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Proven ability to collaborate with data scientists and AI/ML engineers to drive business value.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the enterprise data platform architecture, ensuring it meets scalability and reliability requirements.
• Develop core data engineering capabilities, including data ingestion frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Translate architectural strategies into reusable engineering components for various business domains.
• Deliver production-ready data products for analytics and AI use cases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align designs with business needs and regulatory standards.
• Define engineering standards to improve development quality and platform adoption.
