Health Advisor (Humanitarian, Remote)

Job summary

Seeking an experienced Health Advisor to enhance healthcare access for crisis-affected populations, focusing on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in humanitarian contexts. The role involves providing technical assistance and strategic guidance for health interventions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of international experience in the health sector with humanitarian and development organizations.
• Strong technical and advisory skills in NCDs and other health areas such as maternal and child health.
• Experience in project management and developing project proposals.
• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French and/or Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic planning and implementation of health frameworks, emphasizing primary health care and NCD integration.
• Provide technical support and guidance for health programs, ensuring alignment with recognized standards and practices.
• Collaborate with Red Cross National Societies to strengthen capacities in NCD prevention and care through training and resources.
• Support monitoring and evaluation efforts, including health assessments and information system management.
• Promote evidence-based programming and facilitate innovative solutions and peer-learning across organizations.
• Assist in advocacy efforts related to health and NCDs, contributing to policy papers and attending relevant meetings.
• Support resource mobilization by developing health proposals aligned with donor priorities.
