Internal Control Manager (Finance, Hybrid, Denmark/Baltics)

Job summary

This role focuses on enhancing the internal control environment across Denmark and the Baltics, with occasional support to Finland. The position involves collaboration with various business functions to implement and improve internal controls and reporting systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in internal controls, auditing, risk management, or compliance, ideally within a multinational context or a Big4 firm.
• Familiarity with key business processes such as P2P, O2C, and R2R, along with hands-on internal control experience.
• Understanding of internal control frameworks like COSO and international accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP).
• Proficiency in SAP functionalities is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance an assurance framework to manage strategic, operational, financial, and compliance risks.
• Implement the internal control strategy and ensure adherence to internal control requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business risks and design appropriate internal controls.
• Lead internal control efficiency projects and ensure compliance with new policies.
• Support audit processes and respond to audit requests in a timely manner.
• Provide training and support to stakeholders on internal controls and compliance topics.
