Junior Quantitative Research Associate (Finance, Remote)

Job summary

This position is for motivated and detail-oriented students to join Quantitative Research teams, providing hands-on experience with financial data, modeling, and analytics to support investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Currently studying economics, finance, mathematics, engineering, data science, or a related field with at least 1.5 years remaining in studies.
• Availability to work 15-20 hours per week.
• Familiarity with SQL/Power BI/Excel or SQL/Python.
• Detail-oriented, structured, proactive, and possess a problem-solving mindset.
• Interest in financial markets, quantitative modeling, investment data, or enhancing analytical workflows.
• Optional skills include Power Automate, SharePoint, and API knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain computational investment signals and key data flows.
• Assist with regular fundamental data quality checks and data analytics.
• Help develop, update, and troubleshoot Power BI reports and Excel Model Books for analysts and portfolio managers.
• Support process improvements, documentation, and internal workflow optimization.
• Collaborate with analysts, portfolio managers, ESG, and DevOps on data quality, mappings, and system-related issues.

Skills

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Familiarity with Excel for financial modeling.

Education

• Enrollment in a relevant degree program with a focus on quantitative subjects.
