Job summary

This position involves working in the Upstream Lab team within the Drug Substance Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) sector, focusing on the transfer and establishment of upstream cultivation processes for external clients. The role emphasizes efficient tech transfer and support for large-scale operations in a dynamic lab environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry/Life Sciences, or a related field with 3-5 years of industrial experience preferred.
• Practical experience in cell culture development, particularly with mammalian cells, and scaling processes from bench to pilot or production levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient technical writing abilities, including experience with protocols, reports, and technology transfer documentation.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, for effective presentations to clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and analyze cell culture processes to facilitate upscaling from small to large production scales.
• Evaluate and enhance lab practices, ensuring data integrity and readiness of technology and equipment.
• Author and review technical documentation and contribute to technology transfer packages and control strategies.
• Collaborate with external clients and internal stakeholders to synchronize tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
