Lead Software Engineer (Retail Technology, Copenhagen)

Job summary

This role involves leading the development of backend services for a digital retail platform, focusing on order management capabilities and enhancing the shopper experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with NodeJS and JavaScript frameworks.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in a microservices environment, particularly with AWS Serverless technologies.
• Interest in utilizing AI for software development.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and engineering tools, including AWS, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
• Experience collaborating with external technical and commercial partners.
• Commitment to security best practices and proactive engagement with security teams.
• Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and inclusivity within engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient, reusable solutions for the shopper platform.
• Lead engineering strategy for Markets & Channels Technology, balancing current needs with future direction.
• Mentor and sponsor senior engineers, promoting their growth and development.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering Managers to ensure applications are secure, scalable, and maintainable.
• Delegate tasks effectively to manage workload and support team members' growth.
• Contribute to open source or inner-source initiatives and communities.

Education
