Production Supervisor (Medical Devices, Onsite)

Job summary

The role involves overseeing production operations during weekend night shifts, focusing on resource planning, prioritization, and reporting to ensure targets are met efficiently and safely.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in people management within a production environment, preferably in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Understanding of planning processes, KPIs, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Experience in continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely achievement of production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the Production Manager and Resource Coordinator to prioritize resources and machinery effectively.
• Lead and motivate the team, handling hiring, disciplinary actions, and other personnel matters.
• Train operators in machine and process groups to enhance flexibility.
• Identify cross-training needs to cover absenteeism and manage vacation planning with resource coordinators.
• Maintain staffing levels according to the agreed model and work to minimize team absenteeism.

Skills

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication abilities in English and Danish.

Education

• Relevant experience in a supervisory role in a production setting.

Tools

• Familiarity with production management software and Lean Six Sigma tools.
