Senior Applied Scientist (AI, Remote)

Job summary

This role focuses on driving innovation in the development of intelligent, agent-first experiences that enhance business operations through AI and experimentation. The Senior Applied Scientist will design and evaluate autonomous agents, leading rapid experimentation cycles and developing robust evaluation frameworks to improve accuracy, latency, and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute data science and analytics initiatives to deliver measurable improvements in user and business outcomes.
• Design and implement advanced model fine-tuning pipelines, including Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF).
• Manage complex, end-to-end projects with cross-functional collaboration.
• Communicate effectively to foster alignment and trust across partner teams.
• Develop measurement systems and experimentation frameworks for dynamic AI systems.
• Mentor peers and contribute to a high-performance team culture.
• Utilize AI to enhance workflows and team productivity.

Skills

• Expertise in natural language processing (NLP) and large language model (LLM) development.
• Experience with fine-tuning techniques, prompt/context engineering, and integrating LLMs with external tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Advanced degree preferred in relevant fields.

Tools

• Familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks, data analysis tools, and experimentation methodologies.
