Senior BI Architect (Remote, Denmark)

Job summary

This role involves taking full ownership of a global Data & BI architecture within a large organization, focusing on creating a scalable and secure data platform that supports business needs. The position emphasizes the importance of data as a strategic capability and requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective data governance and transparency.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in BI architecture or consulting within complex enterprise environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience in BI development and architecture.
• Proficient with modern data platforms, preferably Azure-based.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for consulting and influencing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously enhance the global Data & BI architecture.
• Ensure a scalable and secure platform throughout the data lifecycle, from source systems to end-user consumption.
• Define and enforce standards for BI development, data models, ETL processes, and deployments.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Data Engineers, BI Solution Leads, IT colleagues, and business stakeholders.
• Promote transparency and self-service through effective documentation and governance practices.

Skills

• Strong technical depth in BI architecture and development.
• Experience in supporting self-service BI and advanced analytics or AI use cases is a plus.
• Ability to work in global, multicultural environments.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with Azure data and analytics services, SQL-based data warehousing, Inspari Toolkit, and Tableau.
