Senior Data Engineer (Remote, Copenhagen)

Job summary

The role involves enhancing an existing data platform as part of a dedicated data platform team. The position is based in Copenhagen and offers the opportunity to influence technology choices and optimize systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, specifically Terraform.
• Background in developing scalable, data-intensive applications on cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with a solid understanding of modern data warehouses.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, GitHub Actions, and Docker, preferably in Kubernetes environments.
• Knowledge of orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Understanding of DataOps principles and exposure to machine learning platforms.
• Experience with event stream processing and significant knowledge of AWS services related to data.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a comprehensive data platform and pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and quality for various teams.
• Collaborate with software and analytics engineers to define data requirements and optimize data models.
• Develop and maintain efficient ETL processes, adhering to best practices for data handling.
• Engage with stakeholders to prioritize analytics needs and monitor data pipelines for issues.
• Contribute to improving data engineering practices through documentation and knowledge sharing.
