Senior Network Analytics Engineer (Remote, Global)

Job summary

This senior position focuses on directing optimization and modeling efforts to enhance planning and network design. The role involves defining problem structures, designing optimization models, and leading new capabilities from concept to implementation, with a strong emphasis on innovation and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a related quantitative field with experience in optimization or modeling.
• Proven experience in designing and deploying optimization models or decision support algorithms in operational settings.
• Expert-level skills in Python, experience with C++ for performance-critical components, and strong SQL capabilities.
• Advanced knowledge of Operations Research, including Mixed Integer Programming and large-scale optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced optimization models and heuristics, ensuring they are validated and implemented effectively.
• Frame complex planning problems into clear mathematical formulations with defined assumptions and success criteria.
• Develop reusable modeling components that adhere to modern engineering standards and integrate with production data systems.
• Conduct structured experiments to compare alternatives and validate model behavior with data.
• Communicate results and recommendations clearly to stakeholders to drive implementation and adoption.
• Mentor junior analysts and enhance standards in modeling practices, documentation, and code quality.

Skills

• Strong analytical judgment and technical expertise in optimization solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in Git and modern software engineering workflows.
• Capability to lead change and guide stakeholders through the adoption of new models.

Tools

• Python, C++, SQL, Git, and familiarity with GPU-based acceleration or parallel computation for large problem instances is a plus.
