Senior Software Architect (Renewable Energy, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves leading the architecture and design of turbine software systems, ensuring high-quality and maintainable solutions that support wind turbine operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, with knowledge in Secure Product Development or Cyber Security being advantageous.
• ISTQB Software Testing Certification is a plus.
• Strong understanding of complex technical domains and system behaviors.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines or in a DevOps environment.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Background as a Testing/QA Lead in an Agile software development setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of turbine software systems.
• Translate business and technical requirements into architectural solutions and development guidelines.
• Write high-quality, testable code and analyze codebases for fixes and improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration.
• Provide troubleshooting and operational support for products and customer-reported issues.
• Maintain technical documentation for software functionality and lifecycle management.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and tools to support operations.
