Senior Software Engineer (API Development, Copenhagen)

Job summary

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with full stack expertise, focusing on frontend development using React and backend development with C# and Go. This role is pivotal in enhancing our API platform and tooling, serving as a key resource for our user community.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in API design and development, particularly with REST/GraphQL/Event-driven architecture.
• Proficiency in C# or Go, along with frontend skills in React.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Experience with cloud architecture, specifically AWS or Azure.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain the existing API platform and related tools.
• Develop and sustain frontend applications and backend services.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to create a user-friendly API platform.
• Engage in the engineering community to refine API products and standards.
• Create self-service tools and automation to boost efficiency.
• Mentor product teams on modern integration practices.
• Utilize agile practices to maintain flexibility in development.

Skills

• Experience with API Gateways (e.g., Kong, Tyk, Gravitee) and event brokers (e.g., Pulsar).
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
• Familiarity with Backstage.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education

• A degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
