Job summary

The role involves leading data migration efforts for a fintech platform, focusing on transitioning users from legacy systems to a unified ecosystem. The position is critical for revenue protection and future mergers and acquisitions readiness.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, particularly with Typescript and NodeJS.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL/Blob storage.
• Understanding of GDPR constraints and data privacy during migrations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a migration engine, including queue workers, ETL pipelines, and API integrations.
• Lead complex data migration cycles, ensuring legal compliance and data integrity.
• Develop mapping scripts for data transformation from legacy to modern schemas.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to extract data securely from existing systems.
• Standardize migration workflows to create a repeatable framework for future acquisitions.

Skills

• Experience with async/event-driven systems and data migration strategies.
• Proficient in using AI-assisted development tools for coding tasks.
• Strong communication skills for troubleshooting and collaboration.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French is a plus.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
