Senior Software Engineer (Remote, Copenhagen)

Job summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on enhancing customer support technology through innovative solutions. This full-stack role involves architecting and developing both backend and frontend features for a next-generation Help Center, with an emphasis on conversational AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in full-stack or frontend application engineering.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, asset pipelines, and build tools.
• Proven experience in systems design and architecture.
• Familiarity with high availability systems serving content at web scale.
• Team-oriented mindset with a passion for collaborative learning through code reviews and tech discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a new Help Center experience focused on conversational and AI-driven solutions.
• Enhance the theming platform to facilitate both coding and non-coding customizations.
• Engage in brainstorming, designing, prototyping, and programming within an agile framework.
• Address complex reliability challenges across the technology stack.
• Foster a customer-centric approach and deep product understanding within the team.
• Mentor colleagues and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Communicate technical changes and strategies clearly to stakeholders.
• Guide architectural decision-making through consensus and documentation.

Skills

• Proficient in Ruby on Rails for backend development.
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React for frontend development.
• Knowledge of AWS Aurora for MySQL data storage and Kafka for event streaming.
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Experience with cloud services on AWS or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with themeable platforms such as WordPress or Shopify is a plus.
