A Software Developer position focused on developing software for airborne geophysics, aimed at protecting groundwater resources and supporting mineral discovery. The role involves engaging with the full development stack, from hardware integration to web user interfaces, with a strong emphasis on machine learning applications.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in software development
  • Proven experience in high-quality programming
  • Knowledge of machine learning is highly desirable
  • Experience in backend and database development, software architecture design, and Scrum methodology

Responsibilities

  • Develop new tools for data analysis and quality control, applying machine learning where applicable
  • Build and maintain data handling and infrastructure, including cloud-based databases
  • Develop new UI and backend functionality within existing systems
  • Support debugging and troubleshooting efforts

Skills

  • Experience with cloud-based services and technologies, such as Azure and Terraform
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch
  • Knowledge of Linux and Yocto systems
  • Proficiency in web frameworks and protocols, e.g., React, FastAPI, Tokio/Axum, MQTT
  • Programming skills in languages such as Python, TypeScript, and Rust

Education

  • Degree in software development or related field
