Software Engineer (Healthcare, Remote)

Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering
• Proficiency in C# and C++
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• Familiarity with Java and Spring framework, with a willingness to learn additional languages
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software features based on customer needs
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and fellow developers
• Apply best practices in software development and testing
• Enhance development environments and refine processes
• Review code for quality assurance
• Investigate and resolve defects and customer issues

Skills

• Strong skills in Object-Oriented Design and software development best practices
• Experience with one or more of the following: Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Knowledge of technologies such as REST, Angular, and DICOM
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, CPPUnit, or MSTest
• Understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience with dependency management tools (e.g., Vcpkg, Maven, Gradle)
• Background in a healthcare or regulated environment is a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
