Student Assistant, Trade Merchandising (Retail, Copenhagen)

Job summary

This position involves supporting the Trade Merchandising team by analyzing sales and product performance data to enhance commercial decision-making. The role offers hands-on experience with global merchandising data and requires a detail-oriented approach to data management.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data.
• Detail-oriented and structured approach to reporting and data management.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on identifying improvement opportunities.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerBI is a plus.
• Previous internships or student roles in international companies, particularly in retail or FMCG, are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update data in merchandising and trade management tools for accuracy.
• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly trade reports by analyzing sales data.
• Monitor retail KPIs and commercial trends to identify insights for improvement.
• Help build and maintain tools for assortment planning, such as Range Framework tools.
• Provide analytical and operational support to the Trade Merchandising team.
• Coordinate data requests and update documentation across teams.
