Job summary

This role involves creating and managing technical documentation for the aerospace sector, focusing on manuals and illustrations. The position requires collaboration with engineering teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer in the aerospace field.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong background in ATA documentation.
• Proficiency in creating Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM) and Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC).
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manuals and illustrations, including AMM and IPC.
• Author technical documents using Simplified Technical English.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze documents and gather necessary data.
• Create technical documentation based on engineering drawings.
• Adhere to tight deadlines to ensure timely completion of documentation.
• Write, edit, and publish various technical and administrative publications following established guidelines.
• Work with Subject Matter Experts to ensure publications meet their intended purpose.
• Design and update graphics for documentation purposes.

Skills

• Proficient in tools such as Illustrator, IsoDraw, CADprocess, SketchUp, and AutoCAD.

Education

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Tools

• Experience with technical writing tools and graphic design software relevant to documentation.
