About the role

Job summary

This role involves managing procurement activities for jack-up vessels in the offshore wind and oil & gas sectors. The position requires developing commodity strategies, conducting sourcing and tender activities, and negotiating contracts while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications

  • Relevant academic degree in maritime studies or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in negotiating marine contracts, particularly in the wind or oil & gas industries.
  • Significant experience with vessel chartering, especially jack-up vessels.
  • Operational knowledge of the offshore industry with a commercial mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage commodities in complex global environments.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the commodity strategy for turbine installation and service jack-up vessels.
  • Manage sourcing and tender activities for jack-up vessels.
  • Collaborate with negotiation teams to develop sourcing strategies and prepare RFI/RFQ documents.
  • Conduct contract negotiations and guide commercial evaluations of incoming bids.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct business reviews.
  • Provide market intelligence and commodity analysis to internal stakeholders.

Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Engaged and positive attitude towards challenges.

Education

  • Preferred academic background in maritime studies or equivalent.

Tools

  • Familiarity with marine contract frameworks such as Bimco Supplytime and ASVTIME charter parties.
