Shipping Specialist (Logistics, Denmark)

Job summary

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for managing and executing logistics activities for both domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimizing costs. This role supports the development of standardized processes within the global shipping organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics, particularly in international transportation
• Familiarity with EU logistics flows, customs procedures, and international shipping regulations
• Knowledge of CBAM requirements and customs documentation processes
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Danish is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Coordinate global and domestic shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements
• Plan and execute transportation for supplier deliveries, including freight booking and scheduling
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for suppliers
• Optimize local transportation routes and manage service performance
• Identify cost optimization initiatives through negotiation and proactive planning
• Monitor transportation performance and resolve issues with suppliers or carriers
• Lead execution of CBAM, including data collection and reporting
• Manage customs documentation and freight invoice processing
• Support heavy-lift logistics and coordinate with suppliers and project teams

Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing processes end to end
• Proactive and adaptable in a dynamic work environment
• Experience with data reporting tools or systems; knowledge of Power BI or Python is a plus

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.

• Experience with Basware for invoice processing and financial reporting.
