Consultant, Inventory Management Project (Supply Chain Management, Remote)

Job summary

This consultancy role focuses on managing the scoping, rollout, and documentation of a new inventory management solution aimed at enhancing compliance with established policies and procedures. The consultant will ensure the accuracy and completeness of inventory records during the transition to the new system.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project management, particularly in supply chain or inventory management contexts.
• Strong understanding of business process mapping and functional requirements documentation.
• Experience with user acceptance testing and data validation processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including milestones and resource allocation.
• Serve as the primary liaison between various stakeholders to ensure alignment of business requirements with technical specifications.
• Prepare regular status reports highlighting project risks and achievements.
• Conduct functional scoping and draft comprehensive project documentation, including SOPs and system configuration logs.
• Identify functional gaps between legacy systems and the new solution, proposing necessary workflows.
• Design UAT frameworks and oversee testing sessions with pilot offices, managing feedback and defect resolution.
• Ensure the accuracy of data migration from legacy systems to the new inventory management platform.
