Job summary

The role involves overseeing the implementation of safety and environmental management systems in compliance with ISO standards, ensuring site safety, and conducting regular inspections and audits. The position requires collaboration with clients and project teams to maintain high safety standards on site.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Safety, Health, and Welfare (SHWW) or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a health and safety role.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is essential.
  • A mechanical background is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain MSL ISO45001 & ISO14001 Safety & Environmental Management Systems.
  • Maintain safety folders and documentation on site.
  • Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and briefings.
  • Conduct weekly inspections and complete necessary safety forms.
  • Deliver site-specific safety inductions to new personnel.
  • Liaise with clients and project supervisors on safety matters.
  • Report monthly KPIs to the EHS Director.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct safety audits and inspections effectively.
  • Proficient in safety management systems and compliance regulations.

Education

  • Relevant safety qualification (DIP in SHWW or equivalent).

Tools

  • Familiarity with safety management software and reporting tools.
