About the role

Job summary

This role involves managing grant reporting practices to enhance monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) within a nonprofit organization. The position is crucial for facilitating effective communication of impact and ensuring the organization meets its societal goals.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in social sciences, global health, public policy, development studies, evaluation, or a related field.
  • Over 7 years of relevant experience, including complex project and process management.
  • Proven experience in MEL reporting within grant-making or grant-receiving organizations.
  • Skills in survey design, data planning, and accurate information collection.
  • Strong knowledge of program evaluation, impact assessment, and MEL methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data science and AI applications in reporting and understanding user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the internal project lead for implementing a new MEL data collection system.
  • Co-develop reporting policies for over 3000 active grants to ensure effective information collection.
  • Create onboarding materials for new grantees.
  • Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding MEL needs.
  • Support the organization in utilizing reporting data for MEL purposes.

  • Highly organized and systematic approach to work.
  • Strong listening and communication skills to address stakeholder needs.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while seeking feedback when necessary.

Education

  • Relevant master’s degree or higher.

Tools

  • Experience with reporting systems and data management tools.
