About the role

Job summary

This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain insights into the operations of an international NGO focused on maternal and newborn health. Interns will actively contribute to program development, including fundraising, grants management, and project implementation, while developing essential workplace skills.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a Bachelor’s or Master’s student, with the internship integrated into the academic program.
  • Background in global health, international development, clinical fields (e.g., midwifery), or related areas.
  • Strong interest in building external relations for not-for-profit organizations.
  • Must have financial support from a third party, as this is an unpaid position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with fundraising and grants management processes.
  • Maintain country mapping databases.
  • Support portfolio managers with project implementation and various tasks.
  • Prepare meeting presentations and take notes during meetings.

Skills

  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a 'go-for-it' mentality.

Education

  • Enrollment in a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s program.

Tools

  • Familiarity with project management tools and databases is a plus.
