About the role

Job summary

This internship offers a chance to support the development of strategic partnerships and advocacy for human rights within the context of sustainable development. The role is focused on business and human rights advocacy, private sector partnerships, and project development within a humanitarian and development organization.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant university program, eligible for ECTS points or similar.
  • Interest or experience in human rights, responsible business conduct, ESG, corporate social responsibility, or sustainable development.
  • Familiarity with international humanitarian and development organizations.
  • Strong research and analytical skills related to RBC and Market Systems Development.
  • Excellent written and spoken English proficiency.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and a team player.

Responsibilities

Internship

The internship is unpaid, requiring 25-30 hours per week, with flexibility for university commitments. Paid lunch arrangements are provided, and there is an option for remote work on select days. The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Applications are encouraged from all qualified candidates, and compliance with the organization's Code of Conduct and policies is mandatory.

  • Conduct research and analysis for RBC project development.
  • Assist in coordinating existing international partnerships and projects.
  • Perform company and sector screenings following RBC guidelines.
  • Contribute to strategic communication efforts.
  • Support advocacy and policy initiatives by attending relevant events and networking.
  • Help develop tools, guidelines, and an online learning platform.
  • Investigate new trends in sustainable business models and innovation.
  • Coordinate RBC-related events, including the UN Annual Forum on Business and Human Rights.
